In May 1940, the first order of Yellow Coach TD 4502's was delivered to Los Angeles Motor Coach Company. Bus number 4340 was in fact serial number 088 and was later one of the 39 4502's to be transferred to Pacific Electric in May 1949 when L.A.M.C. was disbanded.
