Sgt. Ralph Edward "Titch" Havercroft was a British pilot born on June 4, 1916. He joined the RAF Volunteer Reserve in April 1937 and trained at 4 E&RFTS Brough. By April 1939, he had accumulated 250 hours of flight time and was posted to 41 Squadron at Catterick for Spitfire instruction. He later joined 92 Squadron in March 1940 and played a notable role during World War II. Havercroft was known for his short stature, earning him the nickname "Titch." He served throughout the war and passed away on May 6, 1995 .

The Supermarine Spitfire, a British single-seat fighter, served the Royal Air Force and Allied nations during World War II. The Spitfire MkI, the initial operational version, was crucial in the Battle of Britain and other key conflicts like the Battle of Malta and the Normandy landings. First deployed in 1938, its speed, maneuverability, and firepower made it one of the war's most effective fighters. The Spitfire remained in RAF service until the 1950s, becoming an iconic WWII aircraft. This 1:72 scale diecast replica of the MkI features a rotating propeller, realistic panel lines, and accurate markings of Sgt Ralph Havercroft's No 92 Squadron from 1940, making it a valuable addition for collectors and WWII enthusiasts.
