The Mullin Automotive Museum was a privately owned automobile museum in Oxnard, California, US. Established in 2010, it displayed the personal car collection of businessman and philanthropist Peter W. Mullin.
In 1905, the same year that Mullin’s Léon Bollée is believed to have been built, engineer Louis Delâge formed his eponymous car company along the outskirts of Paris. Delage automobiles soon became regulars at races, including the Grand Prix circuit where it won four contests in 1927 alone.
Other favorable finishes included second place at Le Mans in 1938 and 1949. The latter victory was achieved with the example currently owned by Mullin, a 1946 Delage D6 Grand Prix. “That was the best performance of any Delage ever at Le Mans,” says Mullin.
