Choosing The Right Scale ( Trucks )

Discovering the Perfect Scale for Your Diecast Truck Model

Are you delving into the world of diecast truck models and feeling overwhelmed by the multitude of scales available? Fear not! We're here to guide you through the maze of scales, helping you pick the perfect one for your collection.

Understanding Scale

Scale is the proportional representation of a model to its real-life counterpart. For instance, a 1:18 scale model means that every inch on the model represents 18 inches on the real truck. The smaller the scale number, the larger the model relative to the actual vehicle.

GAUGE

In the world of models, gauge may be used instead of scale. Particularly if a vehicle is meant to be used with a train set.

Scale can also be referred to as "gauge". If you're searching for a particular model in 1:24 or 1:25 scale and can't locate it, search for it using G gauge. A G gauge item is usually considered to be 24th or 25th scale model.

G gauge = 1:24 & 1:25 scale

Standard gauge = 1:30, 1:32 &1:34 scale

O gauge = 1:43, 1:48, 1:50 & 1:55 scale

S gauge = 1:60, 1:64, 1:70 & 1:72 scale

HO gauge = 1:87 - 1:100 scale
