The Fiat 690 is the first true Italian heavy truck for long journeys, a carrier truck hitched to a trailer or tractor with semi-trailers, manufactured by the Italian manufacturer Fiat VI from 1960 to 1973.

It is part of the very large family of Fiat VI heavy trucks fitted with the Fiat “baffo” cabin - with mustaches.

This vehicle will be manufactured for 13 years and will be the main long-distance transport tool of the Peninsula. It covers the heavy section of transport from 18 to 44 tons, it is the first of the series of famous "centipedes" as the foreign carriers have called them.
